The worst of the two winter storms coming through Georgia today and tomorrow is expected to hit north and east of metro Atlanta—including Athens, according to the National Weather Service. Athens and points north can expect up to two inches of snow today and an additional two–four inches on Wednesday, along with  a quarter- or half-inch of ice.
